The Belgian Village Carousel at the World's Fair

Bought in 1964 to decorate the reconstruction of a Belgian village at the New York World's Fair (1964 - 1965), our gallopers meet with great success there. Among this village of more than 100 buildings we find, besides the carousel, a church, the reconstruction of a Flemish village of the 1700's and even a Ratzkeller. See the Belgian Village here.

It is the son of Marie Bairolle, Jacques Wynand, and a worker, Jean Renardy, who accompany the gallopers to New York.

Nobody knew what it happened to the carousel at the close of the fair of New York until it is purchased by Canada within the framework of the World Fair of Montreal.

In 1964, in New York, each of the horses was provided with big leather belts. Later, in Canada, the damaged horses were restored.
